WHATS BEING PROPOSED?
The City of Newport Beach proposes building a police headquarters right in the heart of Civic Center Park. According to the current proposal, approximately two acres of the six-acre park—including the area home to Bunnyhenge—could be used if this site is ultimately selected.
Multiple locations are still under review, and no final site has been approved. Additional environmental studies, traffic analysis, cost evaluations, and public input will take place before the City Council makes a final decision.
Your involvement is the only way to pivot toward smarter alternatives that respect our environment and one of our communities favorite destination. We must act now to maintain our precious open spaces for family recreation and local heritage before decisions are finalized.
